Our Story
We're a group of Jesus followers that are spread across the Greater Toronto Area. While we're diverse, we share a passion to help everyone to know and follow Jesus Christ. Our weekend services are meant to draw people towards God and our small group gatherings are designed to foster authentic relationships. Newmarket is our home, but we consider the world our neighborhood as we partner across Canada with the Canadian Family of Churches and globally with over 650 churches in the International Churches of Christ.
Our Heart
With so many challenges in our world, it’s easy to see that something needs to be done. As Jesus followers, we believe that together we can make a difference both in our community, as well as around the world. We are proud to serve with some incredible partners as we do our best to bring hope to a hurting world:
HOPE Worldwide Canada is an international charity that changes lives by delivering sustainable, high-impact services to the poor and needy. Newmarket Church has a long history of partnering with HOPE to serve the less fortunate around the world, as well as those in need in the communities we serve.
The Newmarket Food Pantry is volunteer run organization with the ongoing mission to “nourish our neighbours” through tour the city. Through this partnership, we have been able to help feed over 20,000 people in our community — many of whom are under he age of eighteen years old.
Working with OASIS, we have been able to support programs to help children to thrive, even as Haiti continues to navigate many challenges as a country. Through this partnership, we have seen an orphanage built in Les Cayes, as well as a number of pilot projects that aim to equip children with the skill that they need to be successful.
